On August 3, 2020, Jiangsu Science and technology innovation service alliance released the list of "top 100" institutions and "top 100" talents in science and technology service industry of Jiangsu Province in 2019. Suzhou Chuangyuan patent and Trademark Office Co., Ltd. was once again awarded the title of "top 100" institutions in science and technology service industry of Jiangsu Province in 2019. This is the fourth time our company has won this honor after 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Our company, formerly known as Suzhou patent office, a public institution under Suzhou science and Technology Commission, was established in 1988. It is the first patent agency in Suzhou and one of the earliest intellectual property service agencies in China. In October 2000, it was restructured into Suzhou Chuangyuan patent and Trademark Office Co., Ltd. according to the regulations of the State Council.
At present, our company has more than 100 employees, including 4 senior partners, 16 partners, 38 licensed patent agents, 13 patent litigation agents, 6 trademark agents, 4 legal practitioners, 16 science and technology project and high-level enterprise applicants. Our company is awarded by Suzhou Municipal People's government as "service industry benchmarking enterprise", president unit of Suzhou intellectual property service chamber of Commerce, national intellectual property service brand cultivation institution of State Intellectual Property Office, director unit of China National Patent Agents Association, and expert team of Suzhou enterprise intellectual property service center.
Over the past 30 years, our company has made outstanding achievements in patent application, patent invalidation, patent infringement litigation, patent retrieval and analysis. For many years, the authorized rate and quantity of invention patents are among the top patent agencies in Jiangsu Province and the whole country. The total 39 patents have won the China Patent Award, ranking 14th in the national patent agency.
In 2000, our company assisted Suzhou enterprises to file the first lawsuit for judicial confirmation of non infringement of patent rights in the people's court, creating a precedent for judicial confirmation of non infringement of intellectual property rights; in 2014, our company assisted Suzhou enterprises to deal with a series of patent infringement disputes of Dyson in the United Kingdom, and was selected as a typical case of foreign-related intellectual property disputes in Jiangsu Province; in 2017, our company assisted Suzhou enterprises to deal with the disputes of sunstar in Japan European invention patent infringement disputes were selected as the top ten typical cases of intellectual property rights in Jiangsu Province in 2017.
